SAN DIEGO – January 27, 2018 – Mushroom Networks announced today that Etsdia, a private Internet Service Provider company, with operations and offices in Ghana, Holland, Canada and United States has built their Internet backbone based on Mushroom Networks technology.
The was an untapped opportunity for Etsida to provide fast and reliable Internet service in West Africa, however, the monthly $60,000 per POP bandwidth price was cost prohibitive to create a profitable business. Leveraging Mushroom’s Broadband Bonding technology dropped the cost to a fraction by enabling aggregation of up to 16 broadband lines that were significantly less expensive.
“Mushroom’s solution was tremendously helpful and really boosted the robustness of Ethsdia’s network. I truly felt like I truck gold. This was a technology too good to be true, but I experienced the power of it first hand”, said Abdou Dia, owner and general manager of Etsdia. “…It was beautiful. It was creating my own fiber without the cost. It was a huge game changer”, added Abdou.
Mushroom’s virtual and physical appliances were used to create overlay tunnels between them to enable Etsdia’s POP to have secure, fast and reliable connectivity that leverages the bonded aggregate speed of all of the local WAN connections.
“Etsdia’s network build out has really proven that network quality and reliability doesn’t need to be expensive, as long as you can take advantage of cutting-edge technologies such as Mushroom’s”, said Cahit Akin, Mushroom’s CEO.
