Mushroom Networks, Incorporated, is a San Diego, California-based company with the mission to provide innovative networking solutions to set networks on autopilot. Our products and services are focused on a range of networking solutions for small/medium sized businesses as well as larger enterprises from various industries.
Mushroom Networks products are based on patented Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Broadband Bonding® technology developed by our engineering team through extensive research and development.
Mushroom Networks was founded in 2004 as a spin-off from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). Our leadership team has over 70 years of collective cutting edge research and development experience in the networking field.
When we started our journey, we were not satisfied with the quality and performance of the Internet services available, both wired as well as wireless. Having been in the research community for decades we knew what was theoretically possible and we were convinced that it was possible to build set-it-and-forget-it type networking solutions. With smarter networking devices that can take care of problems arising from uncontrolled conditions such as cross-traffic, ISP problems etc, the network experience for users and other stakeholders can be significantly improved. Our earlier SD-WAN prototypes created the fastest ever consumer Internet connectivity speeds ever recorded, by being able to aggregate wifi access points in a residential area.
With our passion to make networks function on autopilot, we designed SD-WAN solutions that require minimal human intervention to install and operate, yet are incredibly powerful for customizing your network. Our self-healing overlay tunnels have the ability to detect and intelligently route around unexpected network problems to optimize end-user experience for Internet applications including demanding use cases such as live video broadcasting and other mission critical applications.
