Broadband Bonding for Home Offices

Combine your cell phone Internet connection with your home wired Internet for higher throughput and better performance.

Simply connect your wired ISP modem into Truffle-Home, set your cell phone in “hotspot” mode so that Truffle-Home can connect to it via WiFi. Truffle-Home can now aggregate your cellular LTE or cellular 5G data Internet connection with your fiber, DSL or cable Internet for better performance and higher reliability.

Broadband Bonding

Truffle-Home creates a bonding tunnel via the LTE or 5G cellular connection in your cell phone plus your wired Internet line that terminates at a Mushroom Networks Cloud Relay. Cloud Relay enables broadband bonding as well as various quality-of-service features for VoIP, video conferencing and other performance-sensitive applications.

Networks on Autopilot

After the easy installation, Truffle-Home has the intelligence to monitor the performance of both your networks – your wired Internet as well as the LTE or 5G connection on your cell phone. It then adapts its bonding algorithms to optimize network and application performance. All is done under the hood with no human intervention.

Truffle-Home aggregates LTE or 5G cellular Internet from your cell phone with your wired home Internet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which phones and service providers are supported?

Any phone with any service provider that supports setting your phone in “WiFi Hotspot” mode is supported with Truffle-Home.

Will there be extra usage charges on my phone service?

Your normal phone service plan’s rules and regulations apply for the use case of your phone’s hotspot mode. There are no additional phone service charges for peering your device with Truffle-Home. If you do not have an unlimited LTE/5G data plan, then the normal overage charges of your phone service will apply as usual.

Will video conferencing, screen sharing or voice over IP applications perform better with Truffle-home?

Yes, absolutely. Bonding tunnels can automatically notice different application traffic and accordingly optimize the application performance.

Which countries will the Truffle-Home work in?

Any country worldwide.

Is the Cloud Relay Service required? Can I use Truffle-Home without the Cloud Relay Service?

Yes, Cloud Relay is required. Cloud Relay terminates the bonding tunnel that is initiated from your Truffle-Home. It is required for enabling the bonding tunnel and the advanced algorithms that monitor your connections and accordingly adjusts your Internet traffic to optimize performance. If your company head-quarter office has a Mushroom Networks SD-WAN appliance, that device can be used instead of the Cloud Relay.

Can I use my existing wired-line modem? How about my existing WiFi router?

Yes, and yes. Your Truffle-Home device will install seamlessly inline between your existing Internet modem and your existing WiFi router.

Can I bond two wired Internet lines or 2 LTE modems together with Truffle-Home?

Truffle-Home is designed only for combining a single cell phone and a single wired Internet connection. For combining two or more LTE cellular connections please check out our Portabella product line. For combining two or more wired Internet lines please check out our Truffle product line.
