About Mushroom Networks
Mushroom Networks, Incorporated, is a San Diego, California-based company with the mission to provide innovative networking solutions that set networks on autopilot. Our products and services focus on a range of networking solutions for small/medium-sized businesses as well as larger enterprises from various industries.
Patented Technology: SD-WAN and Broadband Bonding®
Mushroom Networks products are based on patented Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Broadband Bonding® technology developed by our engineering team through extensive research and development. These cutting-edge technologies enable our solutions to deliver enhanced performance, reliability, and flexibility for modern networking requirements.
Our History: A Spin-off from the University of California at San Diego
Mushroom Networks was founded in 2004 as a spin-off from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). UC San Diego’s own historical account documents our university origins and early Broadband Bonding work.
Our Mission: Delivering High-Quality, High-Performance Internet Services
When we started our journey, we were not satisfied with the quality and performance of the available Internet services, both wired and wireless. With our extensive research background, we knew what was theoretically possible and were convinced that it was feasible to build set-it-and-forget-it type networking solutions. By developing smarter networking devices that can handle problems arising from uncontrolled conditions such as cross-traffic and ISP issues, we aim to significantly improve the network experience for users and other stakeholders.
Our Passion: Networks that Function on Autopilot
Driven by our passion to make networks function on autopilot, we designed SD-WAN solutions that require minimal human intervention to install and operate, yet are incredibly powerful for customizing your network. Our self-healing overlay tunnels have the ability to detect and intelligently route around unexpected network problems, optimizing end-user experience for Internet applications, including demanding use cases such as live video broadcasting and other mission-critical applications.
